*Release Day for THE GOURD AND THE STARS*

By the staff of St. James, everyone, we have made it (with your encouragement) to another publication day! My latest novel, THE GOURD AND THE STARS, is available TODAY (1/12/2024) in paperback and ebook on virtually all major platforms (Hoopla, as always, is late).

Join me for a classic Crusades romance with knights, ladies, adventure, and courtly love… led by a disabled woman doctor navigating her way through religious conflict and cohabitation in medieval Palestine! Come for all the stuff you know about this period—Eleanor of Aquitaine! Richard the Lionheart! Saladin! The Assassins! The Templars!—and stay for a nuanced story about a courageous, unconventional heroine and her partner in crime, the man whom historian Desmond Seward called “perhaps the most gallant figure of the whole Frankish venture [in the Levant]”, Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, better and more pejoratively known as the Leper King.

Because my digital publisher, Draft2Digital, is producing my paperbacks this time around and they aren’t able to eat printing costs as readily as Amazon KDP, the paperback price is $24.99, but I promise that you’re still getting a good deal for your money. The print quality is excellent, and the copy is still those lovely 6”9” paperbacks (and you all know by now that I write a book long enough to make you feel like it’s worth the price). Additionally, publishing the paperbacks with D2D lets me structure the royalties better, so you can feel good about me earning more of the return on each paperback sale than I have in the past. AND you have more choice about where you buy a hard copy from, if you’d rather not buy exclusively from Amazon. But as always, the debut price for the ebook remains $2.99 as a thank you from me for everyone’s support. Links are below⬇️🐝

Amazon: ebook; paperback (I know that it says the pb is out of stock, but that’s because Amazon has to let D2D know to do a print run. Put your order in and it should hopefully ship out pretty quickly)

Barnes & Noble/Nook

iBooks, Everand (Scribd), Kobo, Smashwords, etc.

Thank you all again for your enthusiasm and support!
